BATTLES FOR EMPIRE 2

Battles for Empire 2 (BFE2) is a miniatures game system designed to recreate battles between imperial European armies and their opponents around the world including the Zulus, the the followers of the Mahdi and the Khalifa in the Sudan, the various peoples of India’s Northwest Frontier and Afghanistan, and the Boers of South Africa. The armies and enemies of other European powers and their campaigns of conquest are also accommodated.

BFE2 is designed for battles, not skirmishes, typically with company sized imperial units and broadly their equivalents in the various opposing armies. The figure scale is not rigid and using the same mechanics units can represent full battalions or even platoons.

Battles for Empire 2 was first published in 2013 as a significantly revised and updated version of the original game published in 1999. BFE2 has remained stable and is still enjoyed by colonial gamers around the world. BFE2 remains supported but a revised third edition is planned in the future. In addition, the core game engine has also been the inspiration for a series of games that are being developed for other conflicts. Stay tuned.
